Rocky Mountain Christian Camp is a WELS summer camp for students entering 6th grade all the way through high school. The kids enjoy daily devotions and Bible studies, sports, arts and crafts, and delicious food throughout the week. This year, about 160 teenagers and 30 adults gathered together for this fun-filled week of camping and studying God’s Word!

The theme for RMCC 2017 was, Help, Lord, I feel so… Each devotion filled in the blank with different adjectives such as alone, inadequate, proud, and persecuted. Students studied various Biblical figures in order to see how God comforts and helps us when our emotions become too much to bear.

After Bible study, the kids played sports. These included volleyball, softball, hockey, relay races, and rafting. When teams weren’t vying for the win, they either worked on their skits or made arts and crafts.

This year, St. Peter had five of its youth attend RMCC. Abigail, Mick, Micah, Ashley, and Evee all had a wonderful time up in the mountains! Summer interns Stanley and Alyssa also went to camp. They served by teaching Bible lessons, leading hikes, and preparing meals.

All in all, it was a great week of exploring God’s beautiful creation and studying his wonderful word! If your child will be entering 6th grade through just graduating high school next summer, please consider sending them to RMCC! Dates for RMCC 2018 are July 14-22. Registration will begin online around April. More information about RMCC can be found on their website, http://sites.welslutheran.net/rmcc/.
